The Challenge
As vehicle technology rapidly advanced—spanning electrification, personalization, and connectivity—Chevrolet needed a digital cockpit experience that could grow with it.
The legacy system lacked cohesion across nameplates, made poor use of modern display capabilities, and fell short of rising customer expectations for clarity, customization, and polish.
The task: design a forward-thinking digital experience that works seamlessly across Chevy’s portfolio—from compact crossovers to electric trucks—without losing the brand’s bold, everyday confidence.
Design Goals
We set out to:
Modernize the interface across clusters and centre displays
Support both ICE and EV platforms with a shared design system
Balance functional clarity with expressive brand personality
Build a scalable system ready for future features and platforms
Key Features & Innovations
I worked across product, engineering, and brand teams to define the new digital experience. I led system-level thinking across core features—such as drive modes, energy management, and vehicle performance—while ensuring consistency in behaviour, interaction, and visual language.
From early prototyping to production-ready specs, I helped shape a system that’s both smart and distinctly Chevrolet.
“Smarter layouts, faster access, and a design that grows with every drive.”
Design Highlights
The updated system features a cohesive layout across screen sizes, with high-fidelity icons and animations for instant clarity. UI surfaces adapt based on drive state and intent, while redesigned drive mode visuals deliver real-time feedback and stronger brand expression.
Outcomes & Impact
The updated digital cockpit set a new baseline for Chevrolet—clearer, smarter, and built to grow. With a consistent UI across 2025+ models, improved discoverability, and scalable design, it not only enhances the driver experience but also supports
Chevy’s transition to electric and connected platforms. Early feedback confirms it’s a confident step into the brand’s digital future.
