Adapted performance interfaces for advanced data visualization

SCOPE

I developed a clean, modern, and user-centered interface specifically designed for high-performance vehicles, with a strong emphasis on legibility, usability, and real-time data accessibility at high speeds.

Understanding the unique cognitive and environmental challenges associated with in-vehicle displays, I carefully structured the layout to minimize distractions while ensuring that critical information remains immediately recognizable.

ITERATION & TESTING

To achieve this, I incorporated bold, high-contrast typography, strategically placed visual elements, and an intuitive hierarchy that enables drivers to process key data with minimal effort.

The interface was refined through comprehensive user research into driver behavior in high-performance scenarios, analyzing eye-tracking patterns, response times, and information retention to optimize clarity and efficiency.

Additionally, the Performance Data Recorder (PDR) was developed for two distinct screen sizes—one significantly larger than the other—requiring a design approach that ensured consistency and usability across both displays.

This necessitated careful consideration of scalability, asset optimization, and adaptive layouts to maintain a seamless and intuitive experience, regardless of screen size.

By designing elements to be effectively utilized on both displays, I ensured a cohesive and high-performance interface that meets the demands of various driving conditions without compromising clarity or functionality.

RESULTS AND FUNCTIONALITY

Through iterative design and testing, I validated the system’s effectiveness in enhancing both functionality and safety, ensuring that drivers can make quick, informed decisions without diverting attention from the road.

The final product successfully harmonizes form and function, delivering a seamless, high-clarity experience that complements the precision and agility of performance vehicles.
